An Exceptional Happy Hour and Dinner Experience at The Butchery Our recent visit to The Butchery was absolutely outstanding! We started our evening in the bar, taking full advantage of their fantastic happy hour. The offerings were truly superb, providing a wonderful selection of delicious food and drinks. What made the experience even more memorable was the exceptional service. While I can't recall our server's name, their attentiveness and friendly demeanor truly enhanced our evening. Beyond happy hour, we also ordered from the regular dinner menu, and everything was awesome and great. It was impressive to learn that the sous chef was on his first night making dinner service, yet the food was flawlessly executed. Every dish we tried was delicious, and the overall atmosphere of the bar and restaurant was vibrant and welcoming. We had such a great time that we're already planning our next visit. We highly recommend The Butchery for anyone looking for a superb dining experience, whether it's for their excellent happy hour or a full dinner!

Had a celebratory dinner here with my daughter. We sat at the bar and were instantly greeted. The bar staff were were friendly and engaging. Drinks were good. Food was great, the Pork chop was awesome and cooked perfectly. Dont skip the Brussel Sprouts....OMG...so good. It was hard to not keep eating them. Daughter got the sliders and she loved them, said they were fresh and juice. Dessert was yummy too. The owner ( She identified as the owner) even came by to check on us and we had a great convo. Well worth a visit. Im excited to go back and try it again!
Had dinner with a couple for friends who had married a couple of days before. The drinks and steaks were spot on delicious. The brussel sprouts appetizer, peach crumble dessert, and cornbread were devine. But it was truly the service that knocked it out of the park. It is clear everyone (owener, manager, chef, and wait staff) are proud of what they have to offer at The Butchery.
We had a fabulous experience and meal here. Summer is an amazing server! She’s attentive, kind and funny. She was patient as my husband had several questions for her. The tallow candle and cheese board was wonderful with so many fun cheeses and fruit. My filet mignon was cooked exactly how I wanted it and so delicious. My husband really enjoyed his steak as well. He ordered the old fashion and said it was one of the best he’s ever had!
Anniversary meal. Looks upscale, but a nice laid back approach. Tasty steaks and desserts. Nice whiskey menu ,including Colorado-local offerings. The green chili corn bread is delicious (included with your meal). Service was a plus.
This was such an amazing experience! Karen was so friendly and gracious - greeting us and showing us to our table, taking time to tell us all about happy hour and specials. Our server, Andrew is one of a kind! He anticipated our needs, ensured everything was delicious and hot, and was kind! The food was great! You can tell the chef takes a lot of pride in the selections and preparations of his dishes. We are already talking about our next time in - we are excited to try the lamb!! We went here for brunch this past weekend and it was my first visit. Though I didn't know it, this restaurant is about two miles from my house and I never even knew it was there. That says something about the location..it's out of the way and hard to find even though it's right off 80th and Wadsworth. I also didn't know that this restaurant was on Kitchen Nightmares - a show that I do watch quite often. You can tell that certain touches of decor are all Ramsey. It's actually nice that this place is still around - When I was more into the show, I would check up on the restaurants and see if they're still open. Mostly...not so much. So good for you, Old Neighborhood Restaurant!!! So the Sunday brunch was pretty good. Fish and chips, stuffed french toast, biscuits and gravy, salad, fruit, turkey/beef, and a few other items. Everything that I had was good, and there were no complaints around the table. I had a mimosa...which turned into two...which turned into bottomless. The only reason for the 4 stars is the price. The $17 brunch price point is too high - but not too high that I will not come back. The service was great as well. Nice to have another brunch place so close by!
I'm a huge Gordon Ramsay fan (I mean HUGE, I've seen everything he's ever done, including the old British shows where he isn't even really a celebrity yet and he's doing his first book tours in Australia and all that) so of course I know the format on Kitchen Nightmares, and I know that an awful lot of restaurants featured have later gone out of business anyway. Despite my adoration for Gordon, I didn't really expect a dramatic change at the Old Neighborhood after his visit. There's very little reality in reality TV, and how could a few days really change a whole restaurant? Well, count me surprised. Yes, the decor is still hideous. There are still 11 kinds of wallpaper (that I saw) and new chairs are the only major improvement in the dining room. I had a chance to speak to the owner at length, and he confirmed that he's continuing to remodel the interior and exterior. He walked me through some plans, and I think the place will look quite a bit different by spring. As for the food, on the other hand, the change was extraordinary! It may have helped that I dined at the end of the night and few other customers were in the dining room--a party of 43 had just exited--but everything my table ordered was miles above the old-Old Neighborhood's flabby iceberg lettuce and fatty chunks of meat. Caramelized Onion Soup: Ordered by a tablemate, but we got two spoons and shared. (Amusing sidenote: This is "Camelized" Onion Soup on the Old Neighborhood's website. I detected not a hint of camel, fortunately. This was delicious to start out, but eat it while it's hot; if you let it cool much, it become greasy and the broth tastes of cheap soy sauce. Seriously, though, it's delicious hot. It's just meant to be finished that way. 3/5 Caesar Salad: A bit disappointing for the price, and hard to eat. It's a huge chunk of lettuce with dressing and croutons. But it's nice to have a simple choice on the menu for those who want a light meal, and the presentation is pretty. 2/5 Pan Seared Wild King Salmon: The standout dish for me, and my entree. I ate every bite of the generous portion. The gremolata is flavorful and fresh, and the salmon is as juicy and delicious as you'll get it in our landlocked state. One caveat: There was bacon in my quinoa! I eat mostly-kosher, and that's not mentioned on the menu. Ask for no bacon if you order this and prefer pig-free food. I didn't send mine back (I think it's a greater offense to waste already-cooked food than to eat a few bacon bits) but I was disappointed in the menu's lack of clarity on this point. However, everything tasted spectacular. I had salmon before Chef Ramsay's visit, and it was okay, but not something I'd return for. This dish, I already want again. 5/5 Meatloaf: My other tablemate ordered this and was delighted. It's homey, rich comfort food. I had a taste, and the mashed potatoes were creamy, with just the right amount of seasoning, while the meatloaf itself was the sort of hearty entree that I'd love to order in a snowstorm (if it weren't for the bacon on this dish, too!) or after a really long day. 4/5 Mud Pie: (I don't have the name exactly right on this -- it's the chocolate ice cream cake dish. Desserts aren't listed online.) MMMMM. Probably at least 2,000 calories in a portion. We split it three ways, and dinner was a celebratory meal to begin with, so it was worth the indulgence. It's nothing gourmet or experimental, but it's a delicious dessert that can easily be shared by three or even more. Very similar to a Cold Stone ice cream cake. If you're looking for avant garde, this isn't your restaurant anyway. If you're looking for a tasty, rich chocolate dessert with plenty of ice cream and whipped cream, save room for this. 5/5 My housemate and I will definitely be making this a regular destination when we have things to celebrate. Sit in Brandy's section if you can -- we had so much fun chatting with her and hostess Katy! I hope this becomes a Gordon Ramsay success story. If the owner keeps pushing forward with renovations to the dining room and exterior, I think it will be.
